Yard & Home Maintenance supports Participants to maintain safe, accessible, and functional outdoor areas of their property when disability-related barriers prevent them from completing routine external maintenance tasks independently.

This service focuses on maintaining outdoor safety, accessibility, and environmental upkeep around the home, ensuring pathways, gardens, and external areas remain hazard-free and usable.

Support is tailored to the Participant’s individual property layout, physical capacity, and environmental safety needs.

Yard & Garden Maintenance

  • Lawn mowing

  • Whipper snipping and edging

  • Weeding and garden bed maintenance

  • Light pruning of shrubs and plants (non-arborist work)

  • Raking leaves and general garden tidying

  • Basic seasonal yard upkeep

  • Maintaining overall outdoor presentation for safety and usability

Rubbish & Green Waste Removal

  • Removal of green waste, branches, and garden clippings

  • Clearing outdoor debris and yard waste

  • Bin support (placing bins out and returning them)

  • Maintaining clean and hygienic outdoor areas

  • General yard clean-up to support safe access and movement

Outdoor Safety & Access Maintenance

  • Clearing pathways, driveways, and entry/exit points

  • Reducing outdoor trip hazards

  • Ensuring safe and usable access around the home

  • Maintaining clear movement areas in outdoor spaces
