Personal Care & Daily Routines supports Participants to complete essential self-care activities safely and with dignity when disability-related barriers prevent them from doing so independently.

This service focuses on maintaining personal hygiene, daily self-care, and routine stability, ensuring Participants are supported in a respectful and person-centred way within their home or community environment.

Support is tailored to the Participant’s individual needs, preferences, cultural considerations, and daily routine requirements.

Personal Hygiene Support
  • Assistance with showering or bathing

  • Support with washing hair and body care

  • Assistance with oral hygiene routines (brushing teeth, denture care)

  • Grooming support (shaving, hair care, skincare routines)

  • Ensuring hygiene routines are completed safely and respectfully

Desssing & Grooming Assistance
  • Support selecting and changing clothing

  • Assistance with dressing and undressing

  • Support with footwear and mobility aids

  • Grooming routines aligned with Participant preferences

  • Weather-appropriate clothing guidance where required

Toileting & Continence Support (Non-Clinical)
  • Assistance with toileting routines

  • Continence support (non-clinical assistance only)

  • Changing continence aids (where within worker competency)

  • Maintaining hygiene and dignity during care tasks

  • Monitoring and reporting concerns to appropriate professionals

Mobility & Transfer (Non-Clinical)
  • Assistance with safe movement within the home

  • Support with transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)

  • Use of mobility aids (walker, frame, wheelchair assistance)

  • Fall-risk awareness and safe support positioning

  • Encouraging safe independence where possible

Morning & Evening Routine Support
  • Assistance establishing structured daily routines

  • Morning wake-up support and preparation for the day

  • Evening wind-down and bedtime routines

  • Medication prompting (where permitted, non-administration unless qualified staff)

  • Supporting consistency in daily rhythms

Basic Mealtime Assistance
  • Support with eating and drinking (where required)

  • Meal setup and preparation assistance

  • Safe positioning during meals

  • Encouragement of independent eating where possible
