High Intensity Daily Personal Activities supports Participants with complex health, physical, or behavioural needs that require specialised, high-support personal care.
As an unregistered NDIS provider, Blooming Life delivers these supports through a coordinated model involving qualified and registered healthcare professionals where required, ensuring care is delivered safely, appropriately, and in line with relevant care plans and clinical guidance.
This service focuses on delivering support with care, precision, risk awareness, and structured safety practices, while maintaining the Participant’s dignity, comfort, and daily stability.
All supports are provided in accordance with individual care plans, clinical instructions, and guidance from treating health professionals, and may involve coordination with external allied health and nursing providers.
Complex Bowel & Bladder Management
Supporting implementation of prescribed bowel care plans, including medication assistance where appropriate
Assisting with safe management and care of catheters in line with clinical instructions and delegated tasks
Supporting accurate monitoring and recording of fluid output and bowel patterns for reporting purposes
Maintaining strict infection prevention and control practices during personal care activities
Assisting with the use and hygiene of specialised continence aids and equipment
Enteral Nutrition & Tube Feeding Support
Supporting the safe preparation and administration of prescribed nutrition via PEG or NG feeding systems (as clinically directed)
Assisting with routine care and hygiene of stoma sites in accordance with care plans
Supporting flushing routines and maintenance of tube patency before and after feeding/medication administration
Assisting with operation of enteral feeding equipment where training and delegation has been provided
Observing and escalating concerns such as feed intolerance, reflux, or tube displacement to appropriate clinical professionals
Subcutaneous Injections & Medication Support
Supporting the administration of prescribed subcutaneous injections where appropriately delegated and trained
Following the “6 Rights” of medication support practices to reduce risk of error
Completing accurate Medication Administration Records (MAR) as required
Observing and reporting potential side effects or adverse reactions promptly
Supporting safe handling and disposal of medication-related equipment and sharps (where applicable and trained)
Complex Mobility, Transfers & Skin Integrity
Assisting with transfers using hoists and mobility equipment in line with manual handling plans
Following prescribed positioning and transfer guidelines provided by clinicians or allied health professionals
Supporting regular repositioning routines to assist in maintaining skin integrity
Observing and reporting concerns related to skin changes or pressure areas
Supporting the use of assistive technology in collaboration with allied health professionals
